A Chairman’s Commendation is awarded to a recipient for outstanding and exceptional performance over and above their contracted hours and their contract duties. Recipients are often those who give freely of their personal time or who have conducted themselves in a way which deserves special recognition.
These are prestigious awards with no more than 20 commendations presented in any given year, out of a workforce of around 4,400. However, due to the 2020 awards being postponed and the extraordinary circumstances we have faced over the last 18 months, this year we have made an exception, 25 colleagues across the Trust will be receiving Commendations this year.
Sian has been with the Trust for over 12 years and has worked her way from being a Housekeeper to Deputy Manager. This has been a gradual succession with hard work, determination, and commitment to achieve these promotions, from both a personal and professional perspective. Sian always puts the residents at the heart of whatever she does, they always come first, and she continuously advocates the Trust’s values.
