There were celebrations all round for Edwardstow Court in Stow-on-the-Wold as the care home enjoyed an outstanding day of success at The Orders of St John Care Trust (OSJCT) Recognition Awards, bringing home two prestigious awards alongside a host of individual achievements.
The awards ceremony, celebrating colleagues and volunteers from across the Trust's South Division and Private Collection, recognised the exceptional dedication, compassion and commitment of those who go above and beyond to make a positive difference to the lives of residents.
It was a particularly memorable occasion for Edwardstow Court, with the home proudly receiving the coveted Team of the Year Award, recognising the collective hard work, teamwork and outstanding care delivered by colleagues every day.
Adding to the celebrations, General Manager Matthew Peach was named Leader of the Year, recognising his inspirational leadership, commitment to colleagues and residents, and the positive culture he has helped create at Edwardstow Court.
The celebrations didn't stop there, with several colleagues receiving well-deserved recognition for their professional development and long-standing dedication to the Trust.
Aimee, Care Leader, was congratulated on successfully completing her Level 4 Lead Practitioner qualification, demonstrating her commitment to developing her knowledge and skills to support the delivery of high-quality care.
Lola, Night Carer, was also recognised for achieving her Level 3 NVQ in Adult Social Care, another fantastic example of the team's dedication to learning, professional development and career progression.
Meanwhile, Kerry, Deputy Manager, and Kath, a much-valued volunteer, were both presented with BOSMON Awards in recognition of their dedicated service to the Trust and the important contributions they have made to the Edwardstow Court community.
Reflecting on the team's success, General Manager Matthew Peach said:
I couldn't be prouder of our incredible team. Winning Team of the Year is a wonderful achievement and a reflection of the compassion, dedication and genuine care that our colleagues bring to Edwardstow Court every single day. To receive Leader of the Year personally is a real honour, but leadership is never about one individual. It's about the people around you, supporting one another and creating an environment where everyone feels valued and empowered to make a difference. These awards belong to our entire Edwardstow Court family.
Recognition events such as the Trust Recognition Awards provide an important opportunity to celebrate the extraordinary people working and volunteering in adult social care.
Behind every award are countless moments of kindness, patience, compassion and teamwork that help residents feel safe, supported and valued. Recognising these contributions not only celebrates individual and collective achievements but also helps inspire colleagues, strengthen team morale and encourage continued professional development.
For residents and their families, the achievements are a reassuring reflection of the commitment and care demonstrated by the people who make Edwardstow Court their home and workplace.
The success also highlights the importance of investing in colleagues, recognising volunteers and creating opportunities for people to develop rewarding careers within social care.
With two major awards and multiple individual achievements to celebrate, Edwardstow Court has every reason to be proud.
A huge congratulations to Matthew, Aimee, Lola, Kerry, Kath and the entire Edwardstow Court team on their fantastic achievements.
A truly golden moment for Edwardstow Court and a wonderful celebration of the people who make it such a special place to live, work and visit.
