Edwardstow Court is delighted to be supporting Age Friendly Cotswolds, a community initiative funded by the Summerfield Charitable Trust that is helping to create places where people can thrive as they grow older.

At the heart of Age Friendly Cotswolds is a simple but important ambition: to ensure people feel connected, valued and able to play an active role in shaping the communities they call home.

As part of the growing partnership, Gemma and Kerry from Edwardstow Court recently met with Karen, Age Friendly Champion from Cotswold Friends, and Stow Town Mayor Alison, who is supporting the initiative as an Age Friendly Ambassador.

The meeting provided a valuable opportunity to share information, exchange ideas and explore how organisations across the community can work together to make Stow-on-the-Wold and the wider Cotswolds increasingly welcoming and inclusive for people as they age.

Edwardstow Court has now proudly displayed its Age Friendly Cotswolds window sticker, demonstrating the home’s commitment to the initiative and its wider community.

The partnership reflects Edwardstow Court’s belief that care homes can play an important role at the heart of their local communities, creating opportunities for residents to maintain connections, build new relationships and continue contributing to community life.

By working together with local organisations, businesses and community leaders, Age Friendly Cotswolds and Edwardstow Court hope to help create communities where people of every generation can thrive, connect and feel valued.
