Edwardstow Court were amongst winners in the Trust Awards 2022
Several team members at Edwardstow Court have been chosen as finalists and winners in the OSJCT Employee Awards 2022.
The Employee Awards, which have taken place for more than 20 years and celebrate ‘shining stars’, long services and qualifications gained were hosted at Hatherley Manor Hotel and were attended by homes from across Gloucestershire.
At the awards Edwardstow Court celebrated Matthew Peach who gained his qualification in Senior Chef Production Cooking Standard, it’s an amazing achievement to gain a qualification alongside a full-time role.
The home also celebrated Gemma Joynes who won The Empowerment Award and Tara Moulder who won the Exceptional Dedication to Caring Award.
Gemma is the Dementia Lead at Edwardstow Court, she is very knowledgeable and always shares her ideas, thoughts, and best practices while on shift. Gemma always promotes person-centred care and thinks of individual needs and wishes. Thank you, Gemma!
Tara is part of the housekeeping team at Edwardstow Court, and she always shows tremendous dedication and compassion to all. She empowers residents to remain independent and make choices. Tara always makes time to help residents and gives them the emotional support they need whilst never leaving a task undone. Tara is also undertaking a Level 2 apprenticeship in adult social care and is growing in confidence. Thank you, Tara!
Edwardstow Court also celebrated one of their fabulous volunteers, Kath, who was a finalist in the Exceptional Dedication to Caring Award. Kath is a fantastic support to the home with her passion for exceptional care and inclusion and she clearly demonstrates this in everything she does. Even when Kath was not able to be in the home in-person she used Zoom to connect with residents and join in with singing and dancing.
Chief Executive, Dan Hayes, spoke at the ceremony to praise all the winners and said:

Whether you are an Awards finalist, a long service employee or have earned a qualification through the year, I applaud you. You, as our employees and volunteers in our services and central offices, demonstrate a special mix of compassion and energy along with individual skills and expertise. Every one of you contributes to making OSJCT a special place to live and work. Thank you all for everything you do”.
