Lovingly created over many weeks, the unique dress has been carefully adorned with handcrafted flowers, each chosen for its own special meaning. Together they tell a heartfelt story that reflects the values at the heart of life at Edwardstow Court.

Among the blooms are delicate Forget-me-nots, representing those living with dementia and serving as a reminder that no one should ever be forgotten. Roses, daisies, irises and ivy each symbolise love, joy, resilience, friendship and cherished memories, weaving together a powerful story of kindness, connection and care.

The project has been about far more than creating something beautiful. It has brought residents, colleagues and loved ones together, providing opportunities to share stories, laughter and treasured memories while working side by side. Every flower added to the dress represents not only creativity, but also the friendships and sense of belonging that continue to flourish within the home.
