The Elms awarded Good CQC rating
The Orders of St John Care Trust (OSJCT) is pleased to announce that The Elms in Stonehouse, has been awarded a ‘Good’ rating by the independent regulator of health and social care services in England, the Care Quality Commission (CQC).
Following an inspection in March, The Elms was assessed as being ‘Good’ across five main areas of its service, including how caring, safe, effective, responsive and well-led the home was.
In a report published in March the inspector commented: “People received quality care that contributed to their wellbeing. Caring relationships were formed between staff and people due to the approach and continuity of staff. People were treated with dignity and respect.
The inspectors praised the caring relationships that had been formed between staff and residents with one resident commenting “I can honestly say that the staff are the nicest people I have ever been with."
Janet Pannell, Assistant Regional Director comments: “We’re delighted that The Elms has been recognised for their commitment to enhancing and improving the lives of residents in our care. My thanks go to the team at The Elms for the positive impact they have on the lives of our residents and the care they continue to show to them every day.”
