Employees at Extra Care Housing celebrated in Trust Awards
Several team members at Extra Care Housing Schemes have been chosen as winners in OSJCT Employee Awards 2021. The Trust, which employs over 4,800 staff across six counties, held local presentations and celebrations, as well as an online ceremony co-ordinated by operations centre, to announce winners and congratulate those with special commendations.
The Employee Awards, which have taken place for more than 20 years, are given out to winners of Shining Star and Hidden Hero categories, to employees with over 20 years of long service and to those who achieved qualifications in the last year. A selection of employees who received a Chairman's Commendations Award for Meritorious Service were also honoured at the events.

A Chairman’s Commendations Award for Meritorious Service was given to:
- Laura Riley, Domiciliary Carer, Oxlip House ECH, Bury St Edmunds
Chief Executive, Dan Hayes, spoke at the online ceremony to praise all the winners and said: “Congratulations to all our winners, whether they have been recognised for their professionalism or for their long service or qualifications. These awards take place so that the Trust can show our gratitude to colleagues who together provide an essential service to our communities. And this year more than any other, our gratitude will be echoed by a whole nation who now appreciate what they do and stand in unanimous appreciation for their bravery and commitment. This moment is a good one to reflect on where we might be without the tremendous social care workers that we are recognising today.”
