Employees at Gloucestershire care homes celebrated in Trust Awards
Several team members at Gloucestershire care homes and its regional office have been chosen as winners in OSJCT Employee Awards 2021. The Trust, which employs over 4,800 staff across six counties including Gloucestershire, held local presentations and celebrations, as well as an online ceremony co-ordinated by operations centre, to announce winners and congratulate those with special commendations.
The Employee Awards, which have taken place for more than 20 years, are given to winners of Shining Star and Hidden Hero categories, to employees with over 20 years of long service and to those who achieved qualifications in the last year. A select number of employees who received a Chairman's Commendations Award for Meritorious Service were also honoured at the events.
Gloucestershire Shining Stars Award winners 2021 are:

- Natalie Daniels, Gloucestershire Carer of the Year, Grevill House, nr Cheltenham
- Joy Bellamy, Gloucestershire Hospitality Award 2021, Grevill House, nr Cheltenham
- Victor Neagu, Gloucestershire Leader of the Year, Windsor Street Care Centre, Cheltenham
- Marianne McPherson, Gloucestershire Newcomer of the Year, Orchard House, Cheltenham
- Claire Fearon, Gloucestershire Nurse of the Year, Chestnut Court, Quedgely
- Beata McLean, Gloucestershire Unsung Hero of the Year, Monkscroft Care Centre, Cheltenham
- Clive Colton, Gloucestershire Volunteer of the Year, Chestnut Court, Quedgely
- Jasmin Lyndsey, Gloucestershire Young Carer of the Year, Jubilee Lodge, Bourton on the Water
- Sally Nobes, Gloucestershire Office Support Employee of the Year, Edwardstow Court Care Centre, Stow on the Wold
- Sian Dewhurst, Gloucestershire Regional Office Support Employee of the Year
- Michelle Lane, Gloucestershire Regional Office Unsung Hero of the Year
- Richard White, Gloucestershire Regional Office Newcomer of the Year
Chairman’s Commendations Awards for Meritorious Service were given to:
- Sian Howse, Deputy Manager, Edwardstow Court Care Centre, Stow on the Wold
- Ann-Marie Palmer, Finance Support Administrator, Gloucestershire
- Rachel Stirton, Admiral Nurse, Gloucestershire
Chief Executive, Dan Hayes, spoke at the online ceremony to praise all the winners and said: “Congratulations to all our winners, whether they have been recognised for their professionalism or for their long service or qualifications. These awards take place so that the Trust can show our gratitude to colleagues who together provide an essential service to our communities. And this year more than any other our gratitude will be echoed by a whole nation who now appreciate what they do and stand in unanimous appreciation for their bravery and commitment. This moment is a good one to reflect on where we might be without the tremendous social care workers that we are recognising today.”
