The local community can now access support, engaging activities and companionship through a new day care service launched by Fremantle Court.

The service has been introduced in response to growing demand for flexible care options that support both older people and their families. Created for individuals who may benefit from additional social interaction, meaningful activities or support during the day, while also providing valuable respite for family members and carers balancing work, appointments and other responsibilities.

Guests attending the day care service can enjoy a varied programme of activities, including arts and crafts, gentle exercise, games, entertainment and social events. Freshly prepared meals and refreshments are provided throughout the day, alongside opportunities to make new friends and become part of the wider Fremantle Court community.

The launch reflects Fremantle Court's commitment to supporting older people and addressing the growing challenge of loneliness and social isolation. For many older people, regular social interaction can play an important role in maintaining wellbeing, confidence and a sense of belonging.

Deepthi Jose, Home Manager at Fremantle Court, said:

"We often speak to families who want their loved one to enjoy more social interaction and support but aren't ready for full-time care. This service helps bridge that gap. Our day care service gives older people the opportunity to spend time with others, enjoy meaningful activities and become part of a welcoming community, while families gain reassurance knowing their loved one is safe, supported and having an enjoyable day."

The flexible service is available for both regular and occasional attendance, making it suitable for families seeking ongoing support or short-term care solutions. The service is available Monday to Friday from 10:00am to 15:00pm.

The home encourages anyone interested in learning more about the service to get in touch and find out how day care could benefit them or a loved one.
