Full marks for Mayott House health and safety audit
The team at Mayott House has achieved 100% in their health and safety audit this year. The extra care housing scheme in Abingdon, which has 40 apartments, is the first in the Trust to get full marks.
Domiciliary Care Manager, Hilda Sanyika said: “We were so pleased to achieve this score, last year it was 99%, and we were close, but this year we checked everything, and it paid off.
“Residents at the scheme were delighted to hear about it when we shared the news at our monthly residents’ meetings.”
Health & Safety Adviser, Richard White explained: “We designed and introduced these audits in 2021 to support managers. Audits highlight all the good work taking place and provide confidence in the health and safety of our services. We take a ‘find and fix’ approach so that any issues are resolved efficiently.”
Homes and schemes have different audits which reflect the different property and ground management scope. Hungerford House, in Wiltshire, also achieved 100% in their audit in May this year.
