Goodson Lodge in community trail
Goodson Lodge is involved in an initiative to highlight local points of interest
The home is very excited to have been asked to take part in a project led by John of Gaunt School. The idea is that a trail of falcons will be sited in prominent areas around the town, ready for Trowbridge residents and visitors to spot during their daily exercise, for example.
The John of Gaunt School is named after a nobleman from the 14th Century - he was part of the house of Plantagenet and Lancaster and the school's emblem is based on the use of the falcon heraldic symbol.
Our residents have enjoyed designing and creating the artwork to produce our colourful bird. He will be leaving us shortly to go back to the school to be waterproofed ready to sit on his perch outside our home.
Why not see if you can see our falcon as you drive along Hilperton Road?
Watch this space for more news about the trail.
