Handy person at OSJCT Townsend House hailed as a Shining Star in Trust Awards
OSJCT Shining Stars Employee Awards 2020
Robert (Bob) Robertson from Townsend House care home in Headington has been selected as a winner in OSJCT Employee Awards 2020. The Trust, which employs over 5,200 staff across its homes and offices, selected 48 winners from a shortlist of 129 finalists.
Handy person Bob, who has worked at Townsend House since 2000, has been awarded OSJCT Unsung Hero of the Year 2020. He was nominated for his dedication to the home, working hard, excellent rapport with residents and supporting the home in his spare time. The latter included tending to the homes’ flower tubs in the courtyard, leading to an award for the best hanging baskets.
Bob said: “I am very pleased to receive this Award, and I thank Patsy for her kind words.”
Patsy Just, Area Operations Director, Oxfordshire, and a member of the judging panel, said: “I would like to thank Bob for his wonderful contribution and congratulate him on winning this award. It is so important to celebrate and recognise the wonderful achievements of colleagues from across Oxfordshire, each and everyone has gone out of their way to improve the lives of those living in our homes. We absolutely appreciate and value their contribution.”
