A week of Professional Care Workers Week celebrations at The Heights culminated in a special Oscars ceremony, where carers were recognised with awards and thank-you gift packs for the difference they make to residents and families.
The Heights marked the week with a full programme of treats and activities for the care team, building up to a special awards ceremony that put carers firmly in the spotlight.
The celebrations began on Monday, when thank-you banners went up around the home and entertainer Nick Zala performed for residents and staff, including favourite song dedications for members of the team.
On Tuesday, carers were invited to a special carers breakfast before the celebrations continued with Donut Day on Wednesday and a Pizza and Pop on Thursday.
Then, on Friday, the week reached its highlight with The Heights Oscars Awards.
The home created its own awards ceremony to give carers the recognition they deserve, with members of the team presented with their own Oscar awards and thank-you gift packs and certificates of appreciation in recognition of their work supporting residents and their families.

The Oscars were a lovely way to finish the week and celebrate the individual contribution each person makes to our residents and families. Seeing everyone come together to cheer and applaud the team was a really special moment.”
