Introducing our new Home Manager, Mel
Mel brings plenty of experience, support and enthusiasm to the role.
Everyone at Grace Care Centre is delighted to welcome Mel Isherwood as our new Home Manager.
Mel joins us on the back of over 30 years’ worth of experience in the health and social care industry. During this time, she has managed a variety of care services, charities, and local authority services.
Despite her vast experience at a range of organisations, Mel had an instant warmth towards Grace Care Centre. “From the very first moment I walked into Grace Care Centre, I was blown away by the welcoming community spirit and homely atmosphere running throughout the home.”
Mel is known as a supportive and empathetic person who has a passion for high standards of care.
Mel said, "I am passionate to work with our fantastic team to continue to deliver the highest possible levels of person-centred care for all at Grace Care Centre."
When Mel is not at work, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends. Her hobbies include crafting and cooking. She is also undertaking a master's degree in Autism to support family members who are autistic. Mel also sits as a trustee for Ocean City Powerchair Football Club, set up to enable powerchair sporting opportunities in Plymouth.
