We’re delighted to share that Isis House has launched a brand-new Art and Crafts Club, led by our talented and enthusiastic new Activity Coordinator, Kase. With a background in Fine Art and a passion for person-centred creativity, Kase has brought a fresh energy to our home that’s already making a positive impact.

Encouraging Expression Through Art
Held every Monday afternoon, the club offers residents – and members of the local community – a welcoming and inspiring space to explore a wide range of creative activities, from painting and crafting to mosaic-making and more. Kase’s sessions are hands-on, engaging, and fully inclusive, giving everyone the opportunity to enjoy the creative process in their own way.

There’s always a lively, relaxed atmosphere – often accompanied by music (Elvis Presley’s “Can’t Help Falling in Love” is currently a firm favourite with our residents!).

Celebrating Resident Artwork
We’ve already begun showcasing some of the wonderful creations in our very own outdoor gallery in the garden. It’s a joyful way to celebrate the individuality and talents of our residents while adding colour and inspiration to our shared spaces.

Free-Flowing and Resident-Led
Kase takes a flexible approach to each session – offering gentle prompts like “a forest landscape” or “a beach theme” to spark ideas, but always encouraging residents to express themselves in their own unique style. Often, residents will share suggestions or new techniques of their own, which Kase is always happy to explore and include.

Looking Ahead: More to Explore
Future sessions will continue to build on this momentum, with plans to explore sculpting, sewing, and cross-stitching, as well as experimenting with both 2D and 3D techniques. Beyond the artistic benefits, these sessions support fine motor skills, encourage social interaction, and boost emotional wellbeing – all key elements of life at Isis House.
