IT team spend a day at Hartsholme House

Several members of the Trust’s busy IT team took time out of the office to visit residents and colleagues at Hartsholme House in Lincoln.
Matt Craven, Chief Information Officer, said: “This was a great opportunity to meet those receiving and delivering our care and residential services in a Lincoln home. We saw how IT equipment is used in the home and how it benefits residents.
“We also spent some time getting involved in activities led by residents, such as the Magic Table, catching the balloon, and bean bag target.”
The team took part in several activities on the day:
- An IT team question and answer session, where residents, relatives, and visitors, along with Hartsholme House colleagues, asked the Trust's IT team questions.
- Offering refreshments and snacks to residents.
- Joining in games on the care home’s Magic Table – an interactive, touch-sensitive table designed for care home residents.
- One-to-one conversations with residents about their passions and interests. One resident, Eve, a former secretary and a fan of technology, demonstrated how she uses her iPad to connect with her family and friends. Another resident, Pete, proudly showed his growing collection of paintings.
