Jubilee Lodge Celebrates Outstanding Food Hygiene Inspection with Full Marks

There’s plenty to celebrate at Jubilee Lodge after the care home’s kitchen team achieved full marks following its latest food hygiene inspection, recognising its exceptional commitment to food safety, cleanliness and high standards of catering.

The inspection, carried out by a Local Authority Environmental Health Officer (EHO), saw the kitchen achieve an outstanding result, reflecting the hard work, dedication and professionalism of the catering team.

Led by Roger, the kitchen team works tirelessly to ensure residents enjoy freshly prepared, nutritious and delicious meals in an environment where food safety and hygiene are always a top priority.

The achievement is a testament to the team's attention to detail, consistent standards and commitment to providing the very best dining experience for everyone living at Jubilee Lodge.

Rebecca Long, Home Manager at Jubilee Lodge, commented:

We are absolutely delighted with this fantastic result, which is a real testament to the hard work, dedication and pride that Roger and his team put into everything they do.

Providing our residents with delicious, nutritious meals in a safe and welcoming environment is such an important part of life here at Jubilee Lodge. Mealtimes are about so much more than food; they bring people together, encourage conversation and create moments of enjoyment throughout the day.

Achieving full marks in our food hygiene inspection is a wonderful recognition of the team's consistently high standards. I couldn't be prouder of Roger and everyone involved. A huge thank you and congratulations to them all!

Food plays an incredibly important role in the daily lives of care home residents. Beyond providing essential nutrition, mealtimes offer opportunities for social interaction, conversation and enjoyment, helping to create a welcoming, homely atmosphere.

Awards and recognition for food hygiene excellence are particularly important in care home settings, where the health, safety and wellbeing of residents must always come first. They provide independent reassurance to residents, families and the wider community that high standards of food preparation, cleanliness and safety are being maintained. For older people, who may be more vulnerable to foodborne illnesses, these standards are especially significant.

Beyond recognising compliance, such achievements celebrate the dedication and professionalism of catering teams, encourage continuous improvement and reinforce the importance of providing safe, nutritious and enjoyable dining experiences. They also help build confidence and trust among families choosing a care home for their loved ones.

Andy Wood, Area Operations Manager, added:

This is an outstanding achievement for Jubilee Lodge and one that deserves to be celebrated across the wider Trust. Achieving full marks in a food hygiene inspection demonstrates the professionalism, dedication and consistently high standards that Roger and his team bring to their work every single day.

Our catering colleagues play such an important role in the lives of our residents, not only by providing safe, nutritious meals but by helping to make every day enjoyable and fulfilling. It's wonderful to see their commitment recognised in this way.

I would like to personally congratulate Roger, Rebecca and the entire Jubilee Lodge team. Results like this reflect the pride our colleagues take in their work and our shared commitment to delivering the highest standards of care.

The achievement highlights the important contribution that catering teams make to the overall quality of care and everyday experiences of residents, demonstrating that excellent care extends well beyond personal support to every aspect of life within the home.

A huge congratulations to Roger and the entire kitchen team at Jubilee Lodge for this fantastic achievement. Their dedication, teamwork and commitment to excellence deserve recognition, and this outstanding result is something the whole home can be proud of.

At Jubilee Lodge, great food is about more than what's on the plate. It's about bringing people together, creating a sense of home and ensuring every resident feels cared for, valued and safe.
