Jubilee Lodge Residents Share What’s On Their Christmas List
It’s not just children that are allowed to make special requests for Christmas gifts, and residents at Jubilee Lodge have lots of varied ideas.

Christmas is always a special time of year at Jubilee Lodge and this year will be no exception. Visiting the home in the days leading up to Christmas, it’s hard to tell who’s more excited, the residents, or the team at the home who will make the magic happen.
Each resident will receive a special gift on Christmas morning, one that has been sourced to their exact request. Some of them have been easy (“a bottle of really nice wine” or “some new clothes for my doll,”) but others have given our Jubilee Lodge elves more of a challenge. One resident has asked for a cake for Christmas, but not traditional fruit cake – this one has to be chocolate fudge. Easily ticked off by our chef!
Another resident has asked for “a hedgehog ornament,” a very specific request. Don’t spoil the surprise, our elves have found one. Others have been much more vague, and in some ways that can be more of a challenge – “something horsey” gave the team more to think about, but again, they’ve risen to the challenge.
It is testament to the care each of our residents receives that our team knows them so well and takes such pleasure in finding and wrapping the perfect gift for everyone.
The gifts will be delivered by hand on Christmas morning by Father and Mother Christmas, on a custom-built sleigh (made by our kitchen assistant!) before the home welcomes guests for Christmas lunch.
There will be little time to recover from the week’s festivities before the big New Year’s Eve party!
