Lake House and Larkrise care homes join forces at the Banbury Show to celebrate community and raise awareness
We were proud to come together at this year’s Banbury Show to raise awareness of the Trust and the outstanding work taking place within our homes every day.
Lake House and Larkrise care homes, part of The Orders of St John Care Trust (OSJCT), were proud to come together at this year’s Banbury Show to raise awareness of the Trust and the outstanding work taking place within our homes every day.
The event offered a fantastic opportunity to connect with the local community, meet fellow charities and businesses, and celebrate the shared values of care, compassion, and community that are central to OSJCT’s mission.
Visitors to the stand were welcomed by Lake House Home Manager Alex Grindle, Larkrise Home Manager Hannah Larner, Lake House Activity Coordinator Jo Dixon, and Regional Marketing Manager Helen Dearing. Together, the team spoke to attendees about the wide range of care services OSJCT provides, as well as the many enriching activities and support available to residents and their families.
A highlight of the day was the archery activity, which proved to be a great success with both children and adults alike. The excitement and laughter that filled the area truly captured the spirit of the event.
The team also held a raffle, which drew great interest from attendees. We’re very grateful to everyone who took part. Prizes included:
🥉 Bronze – a Sweet Treats Hamper
🥈 Silver – a Discobowl experience for five at Banbury Bowl
🥇 Gold – A family ticket for four to Thorpe Park
Helen Dearing, Regional Marketing Manager at OSJCT, shared her thoughts on the day: “It was wonderful to see so many people come together to celebrate everything that makes Banbury special. Events like this give us the chance to speak directly with the community, answer questions, and raise awareness of the rewarding work happening in our homes every day. We’re incredibly proud of our teams and grateful for the opportunity to be part of such a vibrant event.”
Thank you to everyone who visited our stand and helped make the day such a success. We look forward to returning next year and continuing to strengthen our connection with the Banbury community.
