Residents at The Lakes Care Centre enjoyed a fascinating journey into the world of books and publishing when authors Elisabeth White, who writes under the pen name Lee Pennel, and Malcolm Brooks paid a special visit to the home.
During the session, Elisabeth and Malcolm spent time chatting with residents about their experiences as authors, sharing insights into the writing process and explaining what goes into taking an idea from the page through to publication.
The visit sparked plenty of interesting questions and conversations, giving residents the opportunity to learn more about the creativity, dedication and inspiration behind writing a book.
The authors also kindly brought along copies of their books for residents to browse and purchase, generating lots of interest and enthusiasm among book lovers at the home.
