The Employee Awards, which have taken place for more than 20 years and celebrate ‘shining stars’, long services and qualifications gained were hosted at Hatherley Manor Hotel and were attended by homes from across Gloucestershire.
At the awards The Lakes Care Centre celebrated Sam who has worked at the home since January 2021 and is their Head of Dementia Care.

Sam is dedicated to improving standards of care and this is evident in his work. Sam makes time for all residents and their family members even during the busiest of shifts. Sam smiles throughout, even in the most challenging circumstances at work, and he offers support to everyone around him. He maintains a professional approach and goes over and above his role to be available and offer support and care to the team, residents, and their families.

Chief Executive, Dan Hayes, spoke at the ceremony to praise all the winners and said: 
“We are here to recognise some of the amazing people that bring our Trust values to life and to acknowledge their outstanding effort and commitment to the Trust.
