Lincolnshire Home Manager wins prestigious care award
Cheryl Gilderdale, the Home Manger of Hartsholme House in Lincolnshire, operated by The Orders of St John Care Trust (OSJCT), has won a prestigious regional care award.
Cheryl, who has been with the Trust for more than 17 years and Home Manager of Hartsholme House in Lincoln since 2012, won The Care Home Registered Manager award at the Great East Midlands Care Awards on Friday 1st November.
These awards are part of the Great British Care Awards, a series of nine regional awards which celebrate excellence across the care sector and pay tribute to those individuals who have demonstrated outstanding excellence within their field of work.
Caroline Dunagan, Trust Assistant Operations Director for Lincolnshire, said: “I am thrilled to bits that Cheryl has received this fantastic recognition. Cheryl is passionate about providing the best care experience for all and has created a home where the whole team strive to ensure that residents can really thrive. She is innovative, flexible and empathetic, and sets incredibly high standards for herself and her team. We are all so proud of Cheryl - she thoroughly deserves this award.”
Judges commented: “Cheryl’s passion really shone through with her dedication to the residents and team members. Person centred care is at the heart of the home and residents are empowered to remain a human being.”
