Local Banbury carer from Larkrise Care Centre recognised at Royal reception
Jade Wise, Activities Co-ordinator at Larkrise Care Centre in Banbury, represented OSJCT at the Royal Carers Reception at Windsor Castle, celebrating her dedication to providing engaging, person‑centred activities that help residents stay active, connected, and enjoy life every day.
Jade Wise, Activities Co-ordinator at Larkrise Care Centre in Banbury, has been recognised at a prestigious Royal event celebrating the vital contribution of carers across the UK.
The annual Carers Reception, held at Windsor Castle, brings together professional and unpaid carers from across the country to recognise their commitment, compassion and impact. Hosted by His Majesty King Charles III, the reception provides an opportunity for carers to share their experiences and highlight the essential role the care sector plays in supporting individuals and communities.
Jade was nominated by OSJCT CEO, Dan Hayes OBE, in recognition of her dedication to enhancing the daily lives of residents through engaging, person-centred activities, using creativity, compassion, and innovation to ensure each resident feels valued, active, and connected.
Jade said:
“It was a real honour to be nominated to attend the reception and to represent OSJCT. It was wonderful to be surrounded by so many people who are passionate about care and about making a positive difference. Meeting Sophie, the Duchess of Edinburgh, was a particular highlight – she was genuinely interested in hearing about the activities and care we provide, and how we help residents to enjoy life.”
Renata Crisostomo, Director of OSJCT’s Oxfordshire region, also nominated Jade, praising her commitment and creativity.
