Local Councillor Max Wilkinson from the Liberal Democrats visited the residents at Grevill House
Max Wilkinson met with residents at Grevill House to discuss the Cheltenham Liberal Democrats campaign and the areas that they are most passionate about.
Max talked about issues with climate change and the steps they want to take to tackle this. He also talked about housing for young people and children and investment in the NHS. The residents were particularly interested in investment in the NHS and questioned Max over the recent discussions around the closure of Cheltenham hospital’s accident and emergency department.
Residents were also pleased to hear Max talk about how passionate he was about improving the care and facilities for older people within the Cheltenham constituency.
Max offered residents a question time set up where they were able to ask Max any burning questions they had regarding local issues and wider questions around the Liberal Democrats.
Kate Smith, Home Manager at Grevill House, said: “It’s really important for our residents to meet their local councillors and have their say. We will be ensuring all of our residents who would like to vote on the 12th are able to by providing transport for them or postal voting.”
Grevill House will be welcoming members of the Labour Party and the Conservatives ahead of next week’s election.
