A lovely way to stay in touch
Residents enjoy crafting activity from Wiltshire Wildlife Trust
When Wiltshire Wildlife Trust got in touch with details of a new community engagement project, Avonbourne residents jumped at the chance to be involved.
Funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund, out of their Coombe Bissett Down nature reserve, they had hoped to deliver nature based sessions to older people living in the Salisbury area.
However, with lockdown restrictions putting paid to that, they came up with an innovative idea to engage and that's how we received Nature Postcard activity packs.
The packs contain pre-stamped blank postcards and nature based images of Wiltshire’s wildlife which can be cut out and used as a collaging activity to decorate the blank postcards.
This activity has invoked wonderful memories of walks in the beautiful Wiltshire countryside.
Once finished, they can then be sent to friends and family as a lovely way of staying in touch.
