Madley Park House is launching a new weekday day care service, offering over-65s companionship, activities, lunch and care, with a free Taster Week from 13–17 July.

Madley Park House in Witney is celebrating the launch of its new day care service for older people with a special free ‘Taster Week’, running from Monday 13 to Friday 17 July.
Madley Park House is a welcoming care home with experienced staff, offering high-quality care in a safe, friendly, and sociable environment. Its new day care service has been developed to support older people living locally who would benefit from companionship, activities, and professional care during the day, while continuing to live independently at home.
During Taster Week, local residents aged 65 and over are invited to attend the service free of charge, giving them the opportunity to experience the care, food, and activities on offer.
The day care service runs Monday to Friday, 10am–4pm. Attendees can enjoy a full day of social interaction and entertainment, along with a hot lunch and refreshments. The service is designed to help tackle loneliness and promote wellbeing, while also offering family carers valuable time to themselves, knowing their loved one is being cared for by trained professionals.
The usual cost of day care is £43.50 per day, with potential council funding available. During Taster Week, new attendees can try the service free of charge, subject to a short care assessment.
Planned activities during Taster Week include gardening, arts and crafts, seated exercise, games and puzzles, film afternoons, pampering sessions, shared food activities, and live entertainment. There are also dedicated social groups such as Knit & Natter and a Gentlemen’s Club, as well as special events including a school summer concert.
