Residents at OSJCT Brookside were delighted to welcome the Mayor of Melksham, Saffi Rabey, for a special visit to the home.
The visit provided a wonderful opportunity for residents to meet the Mayor, enjoy conversation and share stories, while strengthening the connection between Brookside and the wider Melksham community.
Residents enjoyed spending time with Saffi and hearing about her role within the town. Her visit also highlighted the important links between the care home and the local community, helping residents to remain connected with the people and organisations around them.
Home Manager Dawn Wallburton said:
It was lovely to welcome Saffi to Brookside and see our residents enjoying her visit. Community connections are incredibly important to us, and opportunities like this give our residents the chance to meet new people, share their experiences and feel part of the wider Melksham community. “We would like to thank Saffi for taking the time to visit us. We hope this is the first of many opportunities to welcome her and other members of our local community through our doors.
The team at Brookside looks forward to continuing to build strong relationships within Melksham and creating more opportunities for residents to engage with their local community.
