Swapna Nandanan

The Meadows has welcomed Swapna Nandanan as its new Home Manager, bringing extensive nursing and leadership experience to the role, alongside a strong passion for delivering high-quality, person-centred care.

Swapna began her nursing career in 2005 after completing her Degree in Nursing, gaining broad experience across a range of clinical settings before going on to work as a nurse lecturer in India and Malaysia.

After relocating to the UK in 2012, Swapna focused primarily on elderly care, progressing through a number of senior roles including Senior Nurse, Deputy Manager and Head of Care at The Meadows. Her experience has given her a strong understanding of the needs of older people and the importance of creating an environment where residents feel valued, respected and well supported.

In her new role, Swapna is committed to continuing The Meadows’ compassionate approach to care, while supporting colleagues to develop their skills and provide the best possible experience for residents. She is also passionate about creating a positive and supportive working environment where colleagues feel valued and empowered.

Swapna said: “I am proud to be part of The Meadows and look forward to continuing to build on the home’s compassionate approach. I want to ensure our residents feel valued, respected and well supported, while creating a strong team where colleagues feel empowered to provide the best possible care.”

Renata Crisostomo, Divisional Director at OSJCT, said: “We are pleased to welcome Swapna into her new role as Home Manager at The Meadows, having previously worked as Deputy Manager within the home. As a Registered Nurse, Swapna brings valuable clinical experience, a strong understanding of our residents’ needs, and a clear commitment to delivering high-quality, person-centred care. We look forward to seeing Swapna continue to support the team and build on the positive work already taking place at The Meadows.”

The Orders of St John Care Trust is confident that Swapna’s experience, knowledge and commitment to high-quality care will support The Meadows’ continued development as a welcoming and supportive home at the heart of the Didcot community.
