Meet Jenny Rafemoyo, Home Manager at Avon Court
Jenny has been the manager since August 2022 and tells us a bit more about herself.
Hello! My name is Jenny and I am the Registered Home Manager for Avon Court Care Home, part of Avonbourne Care Centre. I have extensive experience in care but found my passion six years ago when I began to work with those living with dementia. I joined Avon Court in August 2022, prior to which I managed a number of care and nursing homes across the UK.
I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Integrated Care and Services as well as a Diploma in Leadership and Management in Health and Social Care.
I am proud to influence a positive working culture that empowers staff to reach their full potential whilst providing a supportive and inclusive working environment. At Avon Court, we have a fantastic team of skilled care staff who care deeply about our residents. Our staff receive extensive face to face dementia training which is essential for everyone working at Avon Court.
I am passionate about providing high-quality, person-centred care to those living at Avon Court, where we work to ensure our residents enjoy a life that is fulfilled regardless of age or ability. We boast an extensive activity programme which includes anything from animal therapy to trips out to local attractions. Our activity team work hard to tailor activities to the needs and interests of our residents.
At Avon Court, we recognise that a loved one moving into a care home can be a distressing and difficult time. It is my aim that anyone who chooses to live with us at Avon Court is welcomed as part of the family, with the transition from home to care home made as smooth as possible, with family and friends equally being integrated into the home. Our relatives are welcomed into the home with restriction-free visiting.
Whether it be for respite care or a permanent, loving home, Avon Court strives to provide a supportive and positive environment for people living with dementia as well as their families.
