Meet the Team at Patchett Lodge
Patchett Lodge is a hidden gem located in the heart of Holbeach. The team behind the home has a wealth of knowledge and experience, with an abundance of care to give to each of the residents in the home. The team are always on hand to answer any questions and offer support with any care needs you may have, whether that be permanent or temporary.
Sarah is the Manager of the home and has been in the post for a few years now, and we can honestly say she is doing a great job encouraging younger members of the team to progress their career and putting residents care needs above all else.
Sarah joined the Trust in 2005 and has 17 years’ experience in the care industry. She has Level 2 and 3 NVQ Diploma in Health and Social Care, PDP in Medication, and is now working towards her Level 5.
Sarah has always cared for the elderly, having wanted to see how she could improve their lives by helping them. This principle has remained with her throughout her career. Sarah ensures that she delivers a high standard of care to the residents and leads her team to make sure person-centred care is always given. Sarah likes that each day brings something different. She has participated in sponsored walks and many events, such as fêtes and Christmas and Easter parties, where funds are raised for the residents, and colleagues get to dress up for the occasions.
In her spare time, Sarah enjoys reading and all types of sports.
Megan is the homes activities coordinator and has been in the post for a year now. We are blown away with the strides Megan has been making in just 1 year, the care and commitment she has towards the residents and making sure their wishes are upheld and their opinions matter is inspiring.
Megan has been with the trust for 6 years now and started her career with OSJCT as a housekeeper, then moved onto the care team and has now progressed to the home’s activities coordinator.
Megan enjoys working in care and making residents happy. She thrives in the role of activities coordinator, as she can make a difference to the residents within the home and make each person’s day that little bit better.
In her spare time, Megan enjoys spending time with family and friends, going to music concerts, and travelling.
Sarah is head chef at Patchett Lodge, and has been with the trust for 20 years. She started as a kitchen assistant and has progressed to being the head chef, she is incredible in the kitchen, and the home would be lost without her.
Sarah thoroughly enjoys preparing home cooked meals for all the residents and spoiling them with homemade cakes and desserts. The residents and staff often request Sarah’s speciality, homemade soup, especially in the colder months.
In her spare time Sarah enjoys eating out with her friends and family, and finding new dishes she can make in the home, for all the residents to enjoy.
If you would like to meet the team in person or sample some of Sarah’s amazing food, why not pop along to one of the home's events happening soon. Patchett Lodge will be having a Christmas light switch on 7th December starting at 5pm, all are welcome and we would love to see you there.
