The Lakes Care Centre was delighted to welcome Roz Savage MP for a special visit, bringing together residents, families, staff and local community representatives for an afternoon of conversation and connection.

Roz Savage MP, Member of Parliament for the constituency, visited The Lakes Care Centre to meet residents and the care team, hear about life at the home and spend time getting to know the people who live and work there.

The visit also included Cllr Tony Dale, providing an opportunity for residents and staff to engage directly with local representatives and discuss issues that matter to the community.

Roz was warmly welcomed by the team and residents and enjoyed lunch at the home before spending time chatting with residents and hearing about their experiences. The informal afternoon provided an opportunity for residents to share their stories, ask questions and discuss some of the issues affecting them and the wider local community.

The visit was particularly valued for the opportunity it created to bring together residents, families, staff and local representatives in a relaxed and welcoming setting.

Following the visit, Roz's team praised the afternoon as a "wonderful way to engage with residents, families and staff", adding that they would be keen to explore similar visits at other care homes across the constituency.

The visit also provided an opportunity to raise local matters, with Roz's team agreeing to make enquiries on behalf of a local resident regarding the proposed development at North Meadow in Cricklade.

The Lakes Care Centre would like to thank Roz Savage MP and Cllr Tony Dale for taking the time to visit, meet residents and hear more about the home.

Visits such as this play an important role in helping care homes remain connected to their local communities, while giving residents a valued opportunity to have their voices heard and take part in conversations about the issues that matter to them.

The team looks forward to welcoming local representatives and community partners back to The Lakes Care Centre in the future.
