To mark National Baking Week, The Coombs invited members of the community over for a slice of cake at our care home in Coleford.

We were inundated with visitors stopping in at their local home for a free slice of cake and a cup of tea/coffee. They had the opportunity to interact with some of our residents and were given a tour of our unique converted manor building.

Our full-time chef, Mandy, took the chance to show off her baking skills and, after several positive pieces of feedback, intends to apply for the Great British Bake-Off next year! Her famous coffee and walnut cake proved to be a particularly popular.

A big thank you to everyone who made the effort to join us in celebrating. And of course, a special mention to all our staff and residents involved in putting this event on.

The Coombs is always open for visitors and we hope to see you all again soon.
