New Home Manager
Goodson Lodge welcomes Patricia Gooden-Husbands
Patricia has worked in different areas of elderly care and business management for over 30 years. She is passionate about all aspects of caring for the elderly and their quality of life.
At the previous home she managed, Patricia achieved two of the highest overall ‘outstanding’ ratings from the Care Quality Commission.
In addition to her wealth of experience, Patricia is a specialist in dementia care and in managing the Behavioural and Psychological Symptoms of Dementia (BPSD) and she holds a Master of Science in the Expert Practice of Delivering Person-centred Dementia Care. Patricia is also a licensed Dementia Care Mapper.
She is also a Dementia Practice Development Coach accredited by the Association of Dementia Studies, University of Worcester and received a ‘Highly Commended’ in the Hennell Award for Innovation and Excellence in Dementia Care from the Association.
As a mentor and home manager, Patricia’s aim is to empower individuals to be their best and she is passionate about developing and motivating teams to become highly effective and deliver to the highest standards in adult social care.
