New manager appointed at Wing View Care Centre
Introducing Julie Reeve, Home Manager
Wing View Care Centre is pleased to announce the appointment of Julie Reeve as its new home manager.
With nearly four decades of experience in the care sector, Julie brings a wealth of experience and a deep passion for care and community engagement to her role as the new Home Manager at Wing View Care Centre.
Wing View Care Centre is currently under refurbishment, with the first residents expected to move in late summer.
Julie’s professional journey began at a small, family-run care home while studying for her A levels. Though initially planning to study political science at Exeter University, she enjoyed interacting with residents so much, that she realised she’d discovered her true calling — a decision that has shaped her professional life ever since.
Her career has spanned numerous roles in care, including positions in residential and nursing homes, specialist dementia care, and with the Alzheimer’s Society. In 2006, she stepped into her first management role. One of her proudest achievements was leading a nursing home from an ‘Inadequate’ CQC rating to a ‘Good’ in all five key areas within just nine months.
Julie’s arrival marks another exciting new chapter for Wing View Care Centre. Having previously worked at OSJCT, she is delighted to return and shape the home’s future. She is committed to creating a warm, welcoming environment where residents thrive, and team members feel empowered. She champions open communication, values-led leadership, and strong partnerships with the local community.
She said: “I’m really excited to be joining Wing View Care Centre as the new Home Manager. It’s a privilege to help get the home ready for opening after its refurbishment and I look forward to welcoming residents into a fresh, comfortable space. My goal is to create a warm, friendly environment where everyone feels like family — residents, colleagues, and visitors alike. We want the home to be a real part of the local community, and we’re already looking to build partnerships with local schools and groups. I can’t wait to meet our new residents and start building a future together.”
