Olympics at Paternoster House and The Lakes Care Centre
Paternoster House in Cirencester and The Lakes Care Centre in South Cerney hosted their own Olympic games.
The Olympics this year were held in Tokyo, Japan and had been postponed from last year. Residents were keen to get involved in some games and watch along on the television too. Residents from Paternoster House and The Lakes Care Centre decided to host a competition between the two homes with each home entering several games.
The games included Skittles, Shot Put, Balloon Volleyball, Basketball, Golf Target, Football and Basketball. Thanks to keen football player Brian at The Lakes Care Centre, they succeeded and won Gold for the football while Paternoster House put on a great performance and came out top in the Shot Put.
Reflecting on the Olympics, Sharon Dewsbury, Activities Co-ordinator at Paternoster House said, “The residents had a great time taking part, we enjoyed the competition with The Lakes Care Centre and were delighted to both come out with Gold medals”.
