OSJCT Domiciliary Care Assistant hailed as a Shining Star in Trust Awards
OSJCT Shining Stars Employee Awards 2020
Emily Young who works at The Paddocks Extra Care Housing Scheme, Chipping Norton has been selected as a winner in OSJCT Shining Star Employee Awards 2020. The Trust, which employs over 5,200 staff across its homes and offices, selected 48 winners from a shortlist of 129 finalists.
The Domiciliary Care Assistant has been awarded OSJCT Newcomer of the Year 2020, Extra Care Housing, Oxfordshire.
Emily, who joined the Trust in 2019 was nominated for her motivation, pride and passion, for working well as a team as well as using her initiative when by herself. She was commended for empowering service users to be independent and showing empathy and respect.
On receiving her award, Emily said: "I was surprised and touched to receive the award for Newcomer of the Year as I had no idea I had been nominated. It was lovely to be recognised for doing the work I'm passionate about. My favourite thing about my job is the relationships I get to develop with service users while helping them to live their lives in the most individual way possible."
