OSJCT Nurses hailed as Shining Stars in Trust Awards 2020
OSJCT Shining Stars Employee Awards 2020
Nurses (pictured left to right) Claire James, Jaicy James and Nisha Thomas have been selected as winners in The Orders of St John Care Trust (OSJCT) Employee Awards 2020. The Trust, which employs approximately 4,800 staff across its homes and offices selected 48 winners from a shortlist of 129 finalists.
Claire James has been chosen as OSJCT Nurse of the Year in Gloucestershire, Jaicy James as OSJCT Nurse of the Year in Oxfordshire and Nisha Thomas as OSJCT Nurse of the Year in Lincolnshire.
Claire joined the Trust in 2006 and was nominated for her commitment to nursing and leadership of the team at Windsor Street Care Centre in Cheltenham.
On winning the Award, Claire, said: “I am so thrilled to receive this prestigious award this truly reflects the high standards of care and compassion, as a team, we all strive to achieve for our residents. I personally love to see others fulfil their potential, encouraging and supporting residents and staff.”
Jaicy, who works at Henry Cornish Care Centre in Chipping Norton, Oxfordshire was nominated for being hands on with residents, as well as clinically excellent. She is proactive and very supportive of carers, accompanying them with tasks and helping when the team is short staffed. She is very dedicated to the home and is valued member of the team.
Nisha, who joined the Trust in 2015 and works at Beckside in North Hykeham, Lincolnshire, was nominated for being an incredible nurse, caring for residents and being a supportive team member.
Nisha said: “I am extremely delighted and honoured to receive this exceptional achievement of my profession during the ‘International year of the Nurses and Midwife (2020)’. It is incredibly important that hard work and dedication recognised. Thanks to everyone.”
