OSJCT residents in Lincolnshire enjoy festive get-together
Residents, volunteers and employees from Lincolnshire care homes run by The Orders of St John Care Trust (OSJCT) celebrated Christmas with an afternoon of good food and good company.
Around 125 people attended the annual regional party held at The Bentley Hotel in Lincoln.
Residents were treated to a traditional Christmas lunch followed by Christmas pudding and mince pies before enjoying live music from singers Bruce and Jeanette.
Robert Black, the Trust’s Care Quality Director, and Jill Hughes, the OSJCT Trustee for Lincolnshire, both attended the party, with Jill being asked to judge the best table decoration made by care home residents.
After much deliberation she gave the award to residents of Apple Trees, with Boultham House finishing runner-up. A Christmas quiz was also held and was won by Skirbeck Court.
The Trust’s Volunteer Events Manager for Lincolnshire, Anita Rudd, said: “Our Christmas party was a fantastic occasion thoroughly enjoyed by all. It was a lovely opportunity for residents to get together and enjoy some festive food and entertainment.
“Thanks to all those colleagues and volunteers who worked so hard to ensure it was such an enjoyable occasion.”
