Our Housekeeper with a Musical Talent
Naomi stepped up to provide entertainment for residents.
Naomi is one of the brilliantly committed Housekeepers at Windsor Street Care Centre.
Like everyone at the home, Naomi and the housekeeping team have always played a key role in the day to day running of the home. However, over the past couple of months, they have gone above and beyond to meet the new challenges head on to ensure residents, the wider team and visitors remain safe.
The importance of Naomi’s role is paramount to keep surfaces wiped down and disinfected. With this in mind, it is commendable that Naomi has also spent time supporting the mental wellbeing of our residents with her musical talents and passion.
At a time when entertainers are restricted from accessing the home, Naomi has stepped up to ensure the residents aren’t missing out with her performances on the piano and electric guitar.
Residents at Windsor Street were thrilled to be able to sit in their social bubbles and hear renditions of The Beatles, Tom Jones and Elvis Pressley.
In addition to Naomi helping with entertainment, Windsor Street has also been blessed with trained hairdressers in the team who stepped up during lockdown to ensure everyone was looking their best.
Marzanna Urbaniak, Home Manager at Windsor Street Care Centre, said: “Naomi epitomises the values of the entire team at Windsor Street. Everyone has pulled together to ensure we deliver the best possible care and environment for our residents.”
