Pancake Day fun at Langford View
Anne wins the Pancake flipping challenge
Langford View in Bicester, run by The Orders of St John Care Trust (OSJCT) usually celebrates Pancake Day with a race, where residents pair up for a short race, everyone would cheer and have a lot of fun together.
However, this year was a little different, and the team were determined not to let COVID-19 and lockdown spoil their fun and miss out of their traditional Langford View pancake race.
The home organised Pancake Races for each of the resident social bubbles. Residents chose which hat they wanted to wear and a scarf and then took up their positions at the starting line. New for this year was a competition to flip the pancake and catch it in their pan the most times (the world record is 140 in one minute!).
Anne (pictured) was the winner with 13, close behind was Mollie with 12, then it was Frieda with 10,
Activities Coordinator, Beverley Cotton said: "Off they went, flipping their pancakes along the way. Their was so much fun and laughter had by all the residents, it was lovely to hear."
