Ponies visited residents at Edwardstow Court
The residents at Edwardstow Court were beating the January blues by welcoming some ponies which left everyone feeling uplifted.
The lovely miniature ponies called Lollipop and Tinkerbelle were able to visit both residents living downstairs and those upstairs too as the ponies are very comfortable going in lifts and are happy to visit residents who are unable to leave their rooms too.
The ponies were so gentle and affectionate, the residents loved interacting with them and being able to stroke them. Everyone had the opportunity to ask the pony trainers questions and learn more about Lollipop and Tinkerbelle.
Amy Harrison, Activities Co-Ordinator at Edwardstow Court said, “Everyone was uplifted from the ponies visiting, it was lovely to see everyone enjoy it so much, everyone loved it!”.
The pony visits are part of Edwardstow Court ensuring their residents do not suffer any January blues and they have a fun schedule of activities, trips and even some exercise to stay fit too.
