Residents visit Blenheim Palace
Residents from Edwardstow Court enjoyed a day at Blenheim Palace in Oxfordshire.
Ashleigh and Lisamarie accompanied the residents on their visit around the palace where they enjoyed various exhibitions. Jan, one of the residents, was blown away with the likeness of the Churchill wax statue they had on show Whilst Evelyn, who is an avid horse lover, enjoyed looking at the stable’s exhibition.
The chef from Edwardstow Court sent them off with a delicious packed lunch, which they ate whilst watching a fire show in the quadrangle of the Palace grounds. After lunch they took a leisurely stroll around some of the garden and the fantastic Churchill exhibition that they have there currently.
They were lucky to dodge the wind and potential rain showers that threatened to happen by having a delicious hot chocolate in their café.
They also spotted some Halloween decorations around the palace, which everyone thought was great fun, but the giant spider was a bit too much for everyone! The group decided they were a bit scared and would avoid the spooktacular story section!
The group also learnt a lot on their journey to and from Blenheim Palace as their driver, Samantha, was extremely knowledgeable and made the journey so much fun so a big thank you to her too.
