Rodley House Olympic Games
Residents and the team held their very own Olympic games with medals for the winners.
Team GB have had a fantastic result at the Tokyo Olympic Games, but there are also plenty of medals being handed out closer to home at the equally prestigious Rodley House Olympic Games.
Over the last few weeks, residents have enjoyed a series of competitive games looking to win a place on the podium. The games included - Quoits, garden darts, ball throw in a bucket and tin can alley. The team also got involved and took part in a 3-legged egg and spoon race!
As well as these creative games, the Rodley House Olympic Games included a special opening ceremony and a closing ceremony with presentations of medals and certificates.
The entire programme was organised by Dawn, the Activities Co-ordinator at the home and the whole team got involved in making the Olympic games a varied and stimulating programme of activities designed to support the wellbeing of residents.
Reflecting on the Olympics, Dawn said: “We had great fun creating our very own Olympic Games. It was fantastic to see residents getting involved in various games and cheering each other on.”
