Sisters at The Lakes Care Centre
The Lakes Care Centre in South Cerney has a real family vibe, which is no surprise with 3 sets of sisters working at the home.
Among the 3 sets of sisters, there are a set of twins, Sarah and Paula and then sisters Rebecca and Emma and Bili and Farrel.
Twins Sarah and Paula joined The Lakes Care Centre within 6 months of each other. Paula joined in January 2018 as a carer after 10 years working as a teaching assistant. Paula is now one of the home’s Activities Co-ordinators and the residents love her. She is a creative crafter and when she is not at work, she enjoys being creative at home and spending time with her grown up children.
Sarah joined The Lakes Care Centre in Summer 2018; Sarah is now the home’s Head Housekeeper, and she ensures the home is kept ship shape. Sarah is 8 minutes older than Paula and even now she is the bossy one – according to Paula!
Sisters Rebecca and Emma have only worked together for a few months after Emma joined the team as a carer in the summer. Rebecca, one of the Care Leaders at The Lakes Care Centre joined the home not long after the home opened in 2017. Emma is the eldest but according to Emma, Rebecca is the bossy one!
Sisters Bili and Farrel have worked together for just over a year and they are both part of the home’s housekeeping team. They both love working together and working at The Lakes Care Centre. Bili has been with the home since it opened and Farrel joined the home in 2020. Before joining The Lakes Care Centre Bili was a housekeeper at a local hotel and in her spare time she likes to get creative and loves to knit. Farrel on the other hand prefers to spend her time in the garden.
