Spotlight on our Night Care Team
"We are all motivated to deliver the highest possible levels of care for our amazing residents.”
We have decided to put the spotlight on our fantastic night care team this week.
The team is led by four Night Care Leads in form of Sarah, Amanda, Anthony and Shirley. They look after a group of Night Carers that is made up of Elaine, Julia, Kelly, Olivia, Shelly, Alice and Chisom. This group is also supported by two additional bank carers called Becky and George.
The Night Care Team work hard as a group to ensure they emulate the high standards of person-centred care that their colleagues deliver through the day. Anthony points out that communication and the strong relationship between the team is key to their success.
“We are more like a family than a large team. Everyone has a fantastic work ethic and we are all motivated to deliver the highest possible levels of care for our amazing residents.”
Throughout Covid-19, the team have taken onboard the additional procedures to help ensure residents and colleagues as safe as possible. However, like the rest of the country, they have also seen an impact on their everyday lives outside of work.
Shelley reveals the impact it has had on her: “The biggest challenge for me has been having my children at home in the daytime, and then going to work in the evening.”
Despite all of this, the entire Night Care family has risen to the challenge at Grace Care Centre to ensure they continue to meet their impeccable high standards throughout this challenging time.
Peter Moore, General Manager at Grace Care Centre, said: “Our Night Care Team are continuingly fantastic. They have met every challenge with a brilliant attitude and always put our residents first. It is important we recognise the contribution they have made through the night to keep our residents safe. Thank you all!”
