St Wilfrid’s Sponsored Cycle Goes Continental
The team at St Wilfrid’s Priory have completed their sponsored cycle and raised £170! The event took place on 5th June when staff and members of the Arundel community were invited to get on their bikes and log some miles.
Monies raised are for the amenities fund to get the residents out and about in the community again, and on trips once the restrictions are further relaxed.
The total miles have been added up, and the residents will now receive a themed event at the Priory, inspired by the destination at that distance. We’ll be putting that in the hands of our followers on Facebook with a poll. Leaving Arundel and heading West, we reach Portsmouth, where we propose to get on a virtual ferry and travel to France or Spain and see out the rest of our miles on the continent. We’ll end up in a gorgeous little village, off the beaten track, full of authentic culture and delicious food.
Residents will also be casting their votes and we’ll be sharing lots of photos on our Facebook page, both of the French or Spanish themed day, and of the trips and outings that the cycle ride raised funds for.
A big thank you to everyone who took part – it was a scorcher whether you were out in the sun or pedalling at home, so we’re really grateful. At least it was dry!
