Residents at Avonbourne Care Centre in Salisbury enjoyed a heart-warming day of friendship, conversation and laughter as they welcomed students from Godolphin School for a special intergenerational visit.
The students spent time chatting with residents, sharing stories, learning from one another's experiences and building meaningful connections across the generations. The visit also included a fun-filled armchair fitness session, where residents and students exercised together, creating an atmosphere full of smiles, encouragement and plenty of laughter.
Intergenerational activities are an important part of life at Avonbourne Care Centre, helping to reduce social isolation, promote wellbeing and foster a greater understanding between younger and older generations. The visit provided a wonderful opportunity for everyone to connect, have fun and create lasting memories together.
