Thank You and Goodbye Peter
The team at Grace Care Centre took the time to say goodbye to Manager, Peter Moore
Peter Moore has been at Grace Care Centre since the very beginning.
He started working as a Commissioning Manager in preparation for when the home first opened in 2018. Since then, Peter has stepped into the role of Home Manager to oversee several landmark moments within the home. These include; opening the home in 2018, his musical performance at Grace-Stock, celebrating Christmas with residents and their family, as well as supporting residents and the team throughout the first waves of the Covid-19 pandemic.
Speaking of his enthusiasm for the role at Grace Care Centre, Peter said: “I chose the role because of the passion I have for the home and the fantastic team that work within it.”
That passion was clear to see through the daily commute Peter made from his home in Oxford. And even more so when, like many others in the team, Peter chose to stay at Grace Care Centre during the first waves of the pandemic to provide additional support and safety for residents and the team.
Peter will always hold a special place in the hearts of residents and the team at Grace Care Centre. Not only for his actions in the role, but also for is caring and nurturing personality. Below are some of their tributes.
Jamie Jones (team member at Grace Care Centre): “Thank you for everything you have done whilst at Grace. It would not be the place it is without all of the work you have put in and all the support you have given me.”
Mark Hogwood (team member at Grace Care Centre): "Well Peter, its time you move on, it’s a great shame. I have really enjoyed working with you. Incredibly sorry to see you go. I’d like to thank you for all the support you have given us.”
Mavis Thomas (resident at Grace Care Centre): “Peter is a lovely man who always made time to come and speak to me. Hope he does well in his next step.”
