Three Oxford care homes unite to perform heartwarming carol concert
Residents and team members from Townsend House, Marston Court and Isis House performed a selection of traditional carols and popular Christmas songs

Isis House was filled with festive cheer as residents and employees from three OSJCT care homes in Oxford joined forces with the Blackbird Leys Choir for a joyful Christmas carol concert. Residents and team members from Townsend House, Marston Court and Isis House performed a selection of traditional carols and popular Christmas songs.
In the lead-up to the concert, residents and team members rehearsed festive classics, creating a joyful atmosphere filled with laughter, music, and Christmas spirit. The concert itself was a true celebration of togetherness, bringing smiles to residents, team members, and visitors alike.
Townsend House resident Raymond Bennett said: “I am so excited for the carol concert. I love singing, music is my medicine. It’s great singing with other residents from the different OSJCT homes. It’s been a real pleasure."
Sharon Fenn, Home Manager at Marston Court, reflected on the occasion: "Residents have absolutely loved rehearsing and singing Christmas songs together. It’s been such a joyous experience that has lifted everyone’s spirits and reminded us of the magic of Christmas. Seeing residents’ faces light up while performing truly makes this event extra special."
The concert not only showcased the musical talents of residents and staff but also brought people together during the festive season, fostering a sense of community and connection.
