Trust celebrates talent and dedication with Lincolnshire employee awards ceremony

Inspirational employees from OSJCT care homes, services, and offices in Lincolnshire were celebrated at an awards ceremony held at The Hilton Double Tree in Lincoln in September. Over 70 guests attended the 2022 Trust Recognition Awards ceremony for Lincolnshire.
Mike Stredder, Operations Director and Jacqui Roynon, Head of People shared the role of Master of Ceremonies, with Dan Hayes, Chief Executive giving the opening address. Awards were presented by Richard Milligan-Manby, Lincolnshire Trustee, Dan Hayes, and Caroline Dunagan, Lincolnshire Regional Director.
Candidates for Trust Recognition Awards were nominated by colleagues, residents and friends of care homes. Nominations were judged by a panel and finalists invited to the awards where the winners were presented with trophies.
The 2022 Lincolnshire Trust Recognition Award winners are
- Exceptional Dedication to Caring Award:
 - Shirley Miller, a Carer at Southfields House, Spalding
 - June Brammer, Volunteer at Boultham Park House, Lincoln
 - Outstanding Community Engagement Award
 - Shaun Muffett, a Handy Person at Apple Trees Care and Reablement Centre, Grantham
 - Trust Efficiency and Development Award
 - Maria Irvine, a Carer at Hartsholme House, Lincoln
 - The Empowerment Award
 - Oliver (Ollie) Clifford, a Night Carer at The Poplars, Market Rasen
 - The Personal Development Award
 - Kayleigh Barrett, a Support Worker at Apple Trees Care and Reablement Centre since 2018
 - Unsung Hero of the Year
 - Lucy Scarth, a Senior Carer at Ermine House, Lincoln
 - Clare Krippner, a Volunteer at Apple Trees Care and Reablement Centre since January 2021
 
The Chairman’s Commendation Awards for Meritorious Service were presented to four employees:
- Karen Jackson, Head of Care at Gregory House in Grantham, also the recipient of the LINCA Front Leader Award in March 2022.
 - Wendy Doherty, a Carer at Hartsholme House, Lincoln, who has been with the Trust for over 10 years
 - Shirley Miller, a Carer at Southfield House, Spalding
 - Sian Rees, Accounting Operations Team Leader, working at Operations Centre, Lincoln, has been with the Trust for 6 years
 
The Nigel Stourton Award, named in commemoration of the first Chair of the Trust’s Board was presented to Jo Johnson, the Home Manager at Boultham Park House for the overall team’s resilience and recovery from the impact of Covid-19 in the Lincoln care home.
In its second year of running, the Ferrers Innovation Award was awarded to Whitefriars in Stamford, for their initiative to empower residents through volunteer opportunities to support the running of their home.
Employees with 20 or more years’ service were honoured.
